I do not aspire to go viral.
I aspire to remain well.
I write because I am a writer. Words are how I make sense of the world. Sharing them is an extension of that, not a strategy, not a performance, not a climb.
But I do not want to become an influencer.
There is a difference.
I am AuDHD. I am disabled. Growth does not expand my nervous system. Visibility does not increase my capacity. It simply increases demand.
And I know what happens when demand outruns my limits.
There is a reason I cannot work in the traditional sense. I burn out quickly. When I push too far, when I override the signals, when I stretch myself to meet expectation, my mental health begins to fracture in ways that have taken years to repair.
I have lived through that unraveling.
I know what it feels like to become smaller inside myself in order to meet expectation. I know the slow erosion of performing wellness while privately unravelling. I know the quiet pressure to be consistent when my nervous system is anything but.
I am not willing to return there for applause.
The internet equates growth with expansion. More reach. More output. More presence. More engagement. More.
But growth is not the same thing as capacity.
Capacity is quieter. It lives in the body. It shifts with sleep, with stress, with sensory load, with the invisible maths my nervous system is always running beneath the surface.
Mine has limits.
This is not a universal blueprint for AuDHD capacity. We are not identical. Some will hold more. Some will hold less. Some will hold differently. Capacity is individual. It is seasonal. It is variable.
This is simply what mine looks like.
Intelligence does not cancel disability. Self-awareness does not increase capacity. Being well does not mean being limitless.
I am grateful to be read. I am grateful when my words land. I am grateful when someone chooses to stay.
But I will not trade stability for scale.
And if, by some strange algorithmic accident, my work were to travel further than I ever intended, I would not suddenly become someone else to hold it.
I would still take weeks off.
I would still write at my own pace.
I would still close the door when my body asks me to.
Growth would not rewrite my boundaries.
I will not contort myself to retain an audience. Those who resonate will stay. Those who do not are free to move on.
I am not here to be consumed. I am here to write.
There are places in my life where I am required to prove my capacity — systems that ask me to translate neurological reality into language they understand. I already expend energy explaining, evidencing, and fitting into frameworks that do not always recognise the shape of my disability.
I will not turn my creative life into another assessment.
I am not here to demonstrate my worth.
I am here to build something sustainable.
Depth over virality.
Sustainability over spectacle.
This is the pace at which I remain whole.
